Sweet boy

Tomorrow, Henry will officially be four months old. In many ways I can't believe that this sweet newborn is growing so quickly. On the other hand, it feels as though Henry has been part of our familly for much longer than four months-- possibly because in my sleep-deprived state the days all blur together. Even if life has become infinitely more exhausting for the time being, Henry is such a joy! He is such a happy boy. His blue eyes widen and his drooly grin gets big and the next thing you know, the rest of the family is smiling and giggling along with him.

Henry adores his big sister. Evelyn is a source of endless entertainment, kisses, and pats on the head. She really tries her best to be gentle because, as she happily announces, "Henry is just a neeeeewborn!" As far as new interests go, Henry likes to hold onto objects-- his feet, as little rattle, a little ball, anything he grasp really. He also likes to roll over and over. I don't think he realizes yet that he could roll as a mode of transportation. He just likes to roll. Henry has also recently taken to sucking his lower lip. It's a new discovery-- lips! He is just so sweet. We're having a lot of fun with Henry as he becomes more and more expressive.
