Asserting herself

Evelyn has been asserting herself quite a bit lately and, since she has little control over much of what goes on in life, we're generally happy to "play by her rules" when possible. Evelyn found some silk calla lilies in the garage and created a game: tap the flower on the driveway or the floor. She handed a flower to me and, when I tapped the stem onto the driveway, quickly taught me the "right" way to play with the flower. "No, Mama! This way. This way, please."
