Big Boy

As Henry approaches fifteen months (I can't believe my newborn is getting so big), he has added a few new favorite skills to his repertoire.  He loves to lift big or "heavy" items.  Instead of pushing the doll stroller, he hoists it up and furrows his brow.  My big yoga ball?  Henry doesn't roll it anymore, he tries his best to lift it.  And, speaking of balls, Henry has learned to throw over-hand.  It's quite cute.  He goes to retrieve the ball and gets very excited. 

Evelyn loves playing toss with Henry, though her version is more like "fetch."  Henry is happy to play with his sister, so he doesn't mind playing "puppy" and he's happy to make the appropriate sound effects too.  Animals sounds are also new.  For the past several months, Henry was pretty sure that everything growled.  Henry, what does the duck say?  Grrrr.  What does the bear say?  Roar.  Grrr.  and etc.  Now, he makes horse, cow, and dog noises in addition to his lion's roar.  I've said before that 12-24 months is my favorite age range so far (my oldest is only three, which is also a pretty great age, actually).  All of the new talking and the new-found independence of walking well has made this summer extra fun.
