Where were you ten years ago? 

I was a Senior in High School, planning to attend NYU and discussing college applications with my guidance counselor.  Her phone rang.  She answered it.  She looked upset and said "Oh my God, they bombed the World Trade Center."  Clearly, this was before we knew what actually happened.  She was relaying what her State Trooper husband had heard.  So much more than the New York skyline was permanently altered that day.
